About Me

I became a homeowner in 2001 at the age of 25. I don’t know if I was really “ready” to be a homeowner at the time. All I knew was that I was tired of moving. When I moved into my own home that was the 20th move of my life, I was ready to never move again. I am so glad I took the step to be a homeowner. Do you ever wonder if you are “ready” to be a homeowner? Maybe the question should be “Am I ready to pay my own mortgage instead of paying someone else’s?” or “ Am I ready to stop moving every year (or more… if you’re like me)?”

Being a homeowner has changed my life! It has not always been easy. In the first 5 years, I endured my home being broken into 3 times and a massive house fire. I learned a lot about rebuilding houses from my house fire, enough so that I felt comfortable buying a distressed foreclosed home 2 years after the house fire.

I became a single mother in 2012 and relied heavily on my ability to repair my home myself and the rental income that I received was my lifeline! I can’t imagine my life without being a homeowner. I love being able to walk other people through the process of buying their homes! It is an honor to be able to help people with the biggest financial purchases of their lives! Everyone needs a place to live, it might as well be your own place!
